Emerald Green by ColourVision

Hello hello!  Today I have a review of these lenses I received, courtesy of

Opacity/Color: 10/10
If you’re looking for striking, vivid green lenses, these are for you.  They show up remarkably well and are 100% opaque.  They are noticeable even in crappy in-door lighting, and are easily noticeable even across a room.  I was very impressed by how light and noticeable these are.

Enlargement: N/A
There really isn’t any enlargement factor with these, since these are standard 14mm lenses.  These lenses are probably better for clubbing/going out, or cosplaying more mature characters, since these won’t enlarge your eyes to uguuu proportions like circle lenses will.

Comfort: 8/10
I had to dock these a couple points due to them being a little difficult getting in my eye, and also for being a bit thicker than some other lenses I’ve tried.  After 5 minutes or so, you won’t notice them as much.  Keep in mind I’m also not a regular contact lens wearer, so I’m going to be more sensitive to how lenses feel than most.  They also felt a little more curved than other lenses I’ve worn.

Design/Overall Appearance: 7/10
While I love the bright, super opaque color coverage, I kinda wish there was a little more detail to these than being just a solid block of color.  I really can’t complain, though, considering how difficult it is finding a green lens that shows up so well.  Green can be a, how should we say, finicky color to get right with lenses.  Green lenses tend to blend in with my brown/sometimes hazel eyes, or look muddy.  So, finding a green lens that shows up this well is pretty remarkable.

Overall, these lenses are a bit different than I would normally wear for cosplay, but they work surprisingly well.  I would recommend these lenses if you want to change your eye color dramatically, but aren’t particularly concerned with making your eyes appear larger or going for that dolly-eye look.
